Every new account starts on a 2-month trial that unlocks the full Pro experience — no card required. Sign up, build your store, add your products, share your link. Before the trial ends we email you a reminder and you pick Starter (UGX 15,000/mo, up to 25 products) or Pro (UGX 30,000/mo, up to 80 products). If you don’t pick a plan by day 30, your storefront pauses until you do — but everything you built stays in your account.

Both plans include a storefront on your .sokoshops.co subdomain, WhatsApp checkout, order tracking, and full customer history. Starter caps you at 25 products account — enough for a business just getting online. Pro raises the caps (up to 80 products, 8 photos each), unlocks analytics, hides the “Powered by Soko” footer from your storefront, and lets you bring your own custom domain.

Customers add items to a cart on your storefront and check out through WhatsApp — the order forwards straight to your number and you agree on payment with them (cash, MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, bank transfer — whatever you already use). Soko never sits between you and your customer’s money. Real online checkout (MoMo + card directly on your storefront) is on the roadmap for later this year.

No. No per-transaction cut, no per-customer surcharge, no percentage of revenue. The only money you ever pay Soko is your monthly Starter or Pro subscription. When we ship the real online checkout, there’ll be a small Soko processing fee on top of the payment provider’s own fee — clearly disclosed and always optional (WhatsApp checkout stays free).

Custom domains are a Pro-only feature. You have two options: bring a domain you already own (we walk you through the DNS setup and issue SSL for free), or buy one inside Soko when we ship the in-app registrar later this year — from about UGX 40,000/year for .co.ug. Meanwhile every Pro storefront still runs on a clean yourbusiness.sokoshops.co subdomain that looks just as professional.

Services isn’t shipping yet. We’re focused on getting Marketplace (online stores) right first. Once we have real paying sellers, we’ll build Services — booking calendar, staff scheduling, WhatsApp confirmations — for salons, clinics, gyms, and consultants. Yes. You can cancel your subscription any time from /account/subscription. Your plan features keep running until the end of the period you’ve already paid for; after that your storefront pauses until you resubscribe. Everything you built (products, orders, customer history) stays intact and comes back the moment you re-subscribe — no re-uploading, no work.

You get a 7-day grace period. We email you 3 days before your plan renews so you can pay ahead of time. If the payment doesn’t come through and the period ends, you enter grace — your plan features keep working for another 7 days while we ping you. If grace ends without a payment, your storefront pauses and any products over the Starter cap get hidden until you resubscribe.

MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, and card (Visa / Mastercard). All processed by Marzpay — we never see or store your card or mobile-money PIN. Renewal is customer-driven: when your period is ending we send you a one-click link to pay, and you approve the STK prompt on your phone.

You share your storefront link — every seller gets a memorable subdomain like yourbusiness.sokoshops.co. Post it in your WhatsApp bio, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or anywhere your customers already find you. Soko is a store builder, not a buyer-facing marketplace, so your customers arrive through your own marketing and land directly on your shop — no competitors one click away.

Your customers, orders, and product data are yours. We don’t share them with other Soko tenants and we don’t sell data. You can delete your account any time from /account/danger; when you do, we erase your data. The full privacy policy is at getsoko.co/privacy.
